Our Leadership

The Youth Ministry is a shared ministry between the Church Staff, the Youth Ministry Council, the Student Ministry Council, and with input and guidance from Youth Parents.

Youth Ministry Council - This group consists of youth parents and other adults interested in the youth ministry of the church.  Council members serve for a three-year term.

Student Ministry Council - This group consists of students (grades 6-12) and provides feedback and suggestions to the Youth Ministry Council and to the Minister of Christian Education regarding the overall youth ministry of the church.

Minister of Christian Education - This church staff member (Jeff Pethel) is responsible for providing leadership, support, and development of the comprehensive plan for the youth ministry of the church.  This person is responsible for meeting with the Youth Ministry and Student Ministry Councils for the purpose of organizing, planning, and evaluating the overall youth ministry of the church.

Youth Ministry Intern - This college or divinity school student (Joshua Cox) serves under the direction of the Minister of Christian Education and assists in planning and leading the youth ministry of the church.

Bible Study Teachers - The following teachers lead Bible study on Sunday mornings:

6th, 7th & 8th Grade Boys: Matt Britt, Brian Keith, Al Privette
6th, 7th & 8th Grade Girls:  Linda Hill, Angela McDaniel
9th & 10th Grades:  Bobby Watkins, Rachel Teem, Patrick Groves
11th &12th Grades:  Craig Ferri, Sara Hagwood

Youth on Mission Leaders - The following adults lead our Youth on Mission Group on Wednesday evenings:  Joshua Cox, Debbie Pethel, Joanna Williams, Randall Williams, Jeannie Pulley, Kathy Moss

Other Adult Leaders and Chaperones - Youth Parents and other adults chaperone trips and lead weekly youth meeting times.  Potential Youth Leaders must complete an application and submit to a criminal background check.

The Rolesville Baptist Church Youth Ministry is special to me because it has helped me grow in my relationship with God.  I have grown up in this church and have been cared for.
