Rolesville Baptist Church is a theologically moderate Baptist Church affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. We are an inclusive family of faith believing that God equips and calls both men and women to ministry and service. Rolesville Baptist Church actively supports and encourages the youth ministry through prayer, financial support, encouragement, and opportunities for teenagers to serve and live out their faith through the life and ministry of the church. Our youth ministry provides a variety of activities and opportunities for students in sixth through twelfth grades. Our middle school and high school students attend various schools in Wake and Franklin County. We are an open and inclusive group! We invite middle school and high school students of all shapes, sizes, colors, and interests to join us! You will be welcomed and encouraged to join our family!
We walk with students, so they might connect with the community of Christ's followers, in order to centertheir lives in relationship with God through Christ, and accept the challenge to live out His call.
Rolesville Baptist Church has a plan for our students (grades 6-12) that is intentional and works to nurture our teenagers' relationships with God, through Jesus Christ. We take seriously the important role that the church takes in our teenagers' growth. We also believe in the strong importance of parental involvement. Our model for ministry seeks to be well-rounded and balanced in addressing the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of our students.
We believe that Spiritual Formation is an on-going process that begins in childhood and continues throughout life. We believe that a big part of spiritual formation includes sharing our stories with one another in a safe, loving, and non-judgmental environment, and building positive memories through Bible study, activities, and retreats. We seek to provide teenagers with opportunities for Worship, Bible Study, Discipleship, Music, Missions, and Fellowship on an on-going basis.
Worship - Teenagers are encouraged to be present, participate, and lead in corporate worship each week. From time to time, youth also prepare and lead dramatic presentations and other forms of creative arts in worship as well.
Bible Study - Teenagers are encouraged to engage in Bible study each week. These times of Bible study are discussion-based and encourage teens to think for themselves and to apply biblical principles to day-to-day living.
Discipleship - Teenagers are encouraged to participate in small group studies, special retreats, and camps designed to challenge and encourage them to grow in their faith and relationship with God. Youth are provided numerous leadership opportunities to grow and serve through the church. We typically participate in the Passport Youth Camps each summer as well.
Music - Teenagers are encouraged to participate by singing in the Youth Choir and playing or singing with the Praise Team.
Missions - Teenagers are encouraged to participate with our Youth on Mission Team that is actively involved in mission education and hands-on mission projects throughout the year. Typically, one of the weekly youth trips each summer involves some type of hands-on mission work. In recent years we have gone to Washington D.C., Buffalo, Canada, Morehead City, and Asheville, and Charleston, SC.
Fellowship - Teenagers are encouraged to build relationships with one another through a variety of fellowship opportunities offered each week. These fellowship opportunities include family night meals, snack suppers, times of recreation in the gym, games in the youth game room, or just hanging out together. Youth also participate in lock-in/lock-outs, retreats, and other 'fun' outings as a group.
Rolesville Baptist Church means a lot to me. Each and every student finds a place to belong here. We have a tight bond throughout this group. We are more than friends… we are family!
The Rolesville Baptist Church Youth Ministry is special to me because it has helped me grow in my relationship with God. I have grown up in this church and have been cared for.
Rolesville Baptist Church Youth Ministry is special to me because I have the opportunity to learn about God, hang out with my friends, and minister to people in our community, state, and country.
